Zero (0) is the center of the number line. The left side is the negative numbers while the right-hand side is the positive numbers. Negative numbers closer to Zero are greater than the numbers away from it. Ex. -1 is greater than -2. All positive numbers are all greater than negative numbers. Hence, 2 is greater than -2.
