Composite.

A Prime number has exactly two factors - 1 and itself. A composite number has more than two factors. 58 is an even number (ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8), so it is also divisible by 2, so it cannot be a prime number.

With the exception of the number 2 all prime numbers are odd numbers so 58 cannot be a prime number, it is obviously divisible by 2, as well as by 1 and 58.
