Ok, so "72" is a composite number, because it has factory. See, the factors of "72" are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, and then of course itself: 72. A Prime number's factors are only 1 and itself, so for example 7. The factors of 72 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, and 72.

It sure doesn't look like a prime.
