Not necessarily, and I'll give you an example.

The harmonic series, Σ∞n=1 (1/n), is divergent.

However, if you square (1/n) and use the result in the above series; i.e. Σ∞n=1 (1/n2), which is the p-series for p = 2, the result is that the series converges, and so therefore, by definition, is not divergent.

What is infinity squared times two?

It is still infinity. If you add an infinite number plus a finite number, you get the same infinite number. If you multiply an infinite number times a finite number, you get the same infinite number. If you raise an infinite number to a finite power, you get the same infinite number. For example, aleph-zero squared is still aleph-zero.If you raise two (or a higher finite number) to an infinite power, you get a larger infinite number. To say it another way, the infinite number must be in the exponent, to get a larger infinity. For example, two to the power aleph-zero is equal to aleph-one; two to the power aleph-one is equal to aleph-two, etc.Read the Wikipedia article on "Aleph number" for more details. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleph_numberAlso note that "infinity" has different meanings in different contexts, even if you concentrate only on mathematical meanings (as opposed to philosophical meanings, for example). I therefore suggest you also read articles about "Infinity", for example, at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity

How many numbers are there?

There are an infinite number of integers, fractions, decimals, and irrational numbers. (Each of the types of numbers also has an infinite series.) Arabic numbers are formed using 10 symbols (9 integers and zero) : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 0. All non-variables are represented using these symbols.numbers do not end

What is the scientific name for the number sequence 1 4 9 16 25?

This is the series of integer squares, also known as perfect squares. It is one example of a "power law" series.

Can a circle have infinite sides?

I read in a book called Go Figure! that yes is a possible answer. Also, it has an infinite number of lines of symmetry. It can also have one side, which is the curved side.

Which letters in the alphabet have infinite of symmetry?

The only letter of the alphabet with infinite lines of symetry would be 'o' assuming it a perfect circle. Interestingly enough is also has infinite rotational symetry as well.

If an infinite power creates doesn't it then become finite?

You need to provide a reason for your implied claim. If the infinite power created something which challenged him, weakened him, or took away from him, you might then make such a claim. But God, the only infinite power, is in no way weakened or made less by having created the universe. On the contrary, God's infinite wisdom is amply demonstrated in His creations.God's wisdom seen in His creationsMore about God's wisdom
