(x+0.07)*x = 0.026
x2+0.07x = 0.026
x2+0.07x-0.026 = 0
Solving the above equation by means of the quadratic equation formula gives x a positive value of 13/100 or 0.13
Therefore: length = 0.13+0.07 = 0.2 miles and width = 0.13 miles
Check: 0.2*0.13 = 0.026 square miles
