To make sure your fraction is in its lowest terms, find the GCF of the numerator and the denominator. If the GCF is 1, the fraction is in its lowest terms. If the GCF is greater than 1, divide both the numerator and the denominator by the GCF to reduce the fraction.
Example: 30/42
The GCF of 30 and 42 is 6
6 into 30 is 5, 6 into 42 is 7
30/42 = 5/7
