To make mostaccioli for 65-70 people, you will need approximately 10-12 pounds of mostaccioli pasta, 10-12 quarts of marinara sauce, and around 5-6 pounds of shredded cheese (such as mozzarella or a blend). You may also consider adding protein like Italian sausage or meatballs, which would require about 8-10 pounds. Don’t forget seasonings, such as garlic, onion, and Italian herbs, to enhance the flavor.
My husband and I have a date night, like many couples that have been together for years and have children. The 112 Eatery was on our list of must try's', and finally we did, try it that is. First of all finding it was a bit of fun. It is a little out of the way and hidden, but it was well worth the hunt.We made reservations and all was in order when we arrived. I hate it when you make a reservation and still have to wait. That's just sloppy in my book. I have to say that, I was enchanted by the humble yet somehow upscale feel to the place. It was like sitting in a fancy New York style loft. It had the mood' lighting that couples love, romantic old world brick walls and popular art to give it ambiance. The menu was really a big surprise. They have such a variety of selections. I ordered the Marinated Razor Clams and my sweetie ordered the 112 Steak Tartar for appetizers. Oh my word, I cannot express just how amazing both of these tasted! My mouth felt like it was on holiday! As a general rule, I don't bother ordering seafood of any kind from an inland restaurant. I am so glad that I broke the rules. I almost felt, dare I say it, naughty. But dinner had just started! For an entre we ordered the Togliatti with the foie grass meatballs and the Sauted Duck Breast Au Poivre, and I almost ordered the fried Chinese Eggs, I'm really glad that I didn't. We had enough food in these two meals for another two besides. We probably should have ordered a half-order of the Togliatti. Anyway, the fact that they make their own pasta really shows. It is absolutely amazing! I cannot rave enough about the difference between freshly made pasta and all of the other stuff. We were too full to order dessert, even though we had already picked out a couple of items. In the end it was a bit pricey but, we did get what we paid for and more, so no argument from us. In fact, we have decided that we'll be back!
To make delicious meatballs using almond flour as a healthy alternative to breadcrumbs, simply substitute the breadcrumbs in your usual meatball recipe with almond flour. Almond flour adds a nutty flavor and helps bind the meatballs together. You can also add herbs and spices for extra flavor. Mix the almond flour with the other ingredients, form the meatballs, and bake or cook them as usual. Enjoy your healthier and tasty meatballs!
Swedish meatballs
Your meatballs may have fallen apart during cooking due to a lack of binding ingredients such as eggs or breadcrumbs, overmixing the meat mixture, or not allowing the meatballs to rest and firm up before cooking.
Meatballs can fall apart when cooked if they lack enough binding agents like eggs or breadcrumbs to hold them together. Overmixing the meat mixture can also break down the proteins, causing the meatballs to lose their shape.
To make delicious meatballs in the Instant Pot, mix ground meat with breadcrumbs, eggs, seasonings, and form into balls. Place meatballs in the Instant Pot with sauce, then pressure cook for a few minutes. Serve and enjoy!
Yes, you can bake meatballs using only breadcrumbs and beef, but the texture and flavor may be quite basic. Typically, meatballs benefit from additional ingredients like eggs for binding, herbs and spices for flavor, and other components such as onions or garlic. If you choose to use just breadcrumbs and beef, consider adjusting the moisture content by adding a bit of water or broth to prevent them from being too dry.
To make delicious meatballs in a pressure cooker, mix ground meat with breadcrumbs, eggs, herbs, and spices. Form into balls and place in the pressure cooker with broth or sauce. Cook on high pressure for a few minutes, then release pressure and enjoy your tasty meatballs.
Depends what they're made of (besides meat).
There are many different types of meatballs and they are classified by what ingredients go into them. Swedish meatballs are made with ground bee, pork and oftentimes, veal. They usually contain breadcrumbs soaked in milk. They also have onions, broth, and cream. They originated in Sweden.
It depends on how big you make your meatballs and how much of the other ingredients you add. If you use just meat and nothing else and make 2 oz meatballs (in my opinion, the best size) you'll get about 160 meatballs. If you add things like eggs, parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, etc, you'll get even more than that.
It depends on the size of meatball, if you make 12 meatballs per lb, you would need 50lbs of meat. 25-50 eggs, 50 slices of bread, crumbed.
Meatballs may fall apart when cooked if the mixture is too dry or lacks a binding agent like eggs or breadcrumbs. Adding more moisture or a binding agent can help them hold together better during cooking.
