The best unit to use to weigh a newborn baby is unquestionably a pediatric scale.

After the measurement is completed, the information can be written into the hospital's

records and reported to the proud parents in terms of any convenient unit of force.

In most of the world, grams or kilograms ... although more properly units of mass rather

than force ... are typically used, since that moment is not a good time to quibble.

In the US, pounds and ounces are the usual choice.
