It is impossible to read exactly what the expression is - it looks like there are some operators missing from expression: between the 2 and 5n, between the 5 and n, between the 3 and n.

As written it looks like: 25n + 3 + 5n + 3n + 2 = 33n + 5 which is not divisible by 17 for n = 1 (at least).

Please re-ask your question spelling out every operator, eg 2 bracket 5n plus 3 close bracket plus 3 minus n...

Can anyone prove that 1 divided by 2 is not 0.5?

Friends, faulty logic is for fun - nothing serious about it. Yes, it's wrong, however the reason beneath is hidden :) So try and prove that 1divided by 2 is not 0.5. No, because it is, and if they do, there is something wrong with it.

6 is an even number prove it?

An even number can be divided by 2 evenly. An odd number will have a remainder of 1 when divided by 2. 6 is an even number.

How do the number properties help us to prove that expressions are equivalent?

You can usually make valid transformations in one of the expressions until you get the other expression. A "valid transformation" in this context means one that doesn't change the value of the expression.

Which algebraic expression would not be equivalent if the number and variable were reversed?

A variable raised to a power:i.e., X2 is not equal to 2X...you can prove it by substituting a number for X...if you choose X=1, then 12 = 1 & 21 = 2, which are not equal obviously.

Why is 37 square root an irrational number?

The same reasoning you may have seen in high school to prove that the square root of 2 is not rational can be applied to the square root of any natural number that is not a perfect square.

Is the sum of one odd number and one even number even or odd prove and explain in words?

The sum of an odd and an even number is odd. Any odd number can be expressed as 2n + 1 (for some integer "n"). Any even number can be expressed as 2m (for another integer, "m"). The sum of the two is 2(m+n) + 1. Since the expression in parentheses is an integer, multiplying it by 2 gives you an even number. Adding 1 makes the entire expression odd.

How do you prove that a number is a composite?

To prove whether a number is composite, factor it. A number having any factor besides 1 and itself is composite.
