Electrical power is measured in watts (W), just like any other type of power.

Power is the rate at which energy is used. Energy is measured in joules (J), though utility bills usually measure energy using kilowatt-hours (kW·h) instead. 1 kW·h = 3,600,000 J.

Incandescent light bulbs are generally measured in watts, indicating the power consumed by the bulb.

The amount of light of light produced is measured in lumens. Fluorescent bulbs produce more lumens per watt than incandescent. LED lights produce more lumens per watt than florescents.

Watts is the usual unit but Lumens would be a better guide to the light output. We are unfortunately stuck with Watts for historical reasons.

What is the electrical power of light bulbs what is it measued in?

Electrical power of a bulb is real power used by the bulb. It is measured in Watts. In general, the higher the bulb watt rating, the more lumens it will produce. This is not always the case, since some bulbs are more efficient than others at turning electrical energy into light (ie some bulbs produce more heat, an unwanted byproduct, than others). Real electrical power is always measured in watts. Total power (real and reactive) is measured in volt amperes, which is a vector summation of real power plus reactive power. Power times a time it is used is measured in Joules, or watt seconds.
