You cant. 100*100*100 = 1000000, and if the numbers have to be less than 100, then they multiply to something less than 1000000.

a much easier way to explain this is like this:

the biggest possible three numbers less than 100 is 99*99*99 which equals 970,299. there are only 6 digits in that number so if you want the number to have 6 zeros, the number would have to be zero. if this is some kind of trick question you could do 1*1*1 which technically equals 1.000000...

Are zeros less than decimal numbers?

Less than positive decimals, yes.

You can multiply two decimal numbers together and get an answer less than either one of the numbers you multiplied?

Yes, but you need two positive numbers less than one. 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.25 for instance. (half of a half is a quarter)

Why can you multiply two decimal numbers together and get an answer less than either one of the numbers you multiplied?

For the same reason that you can multiply two proper fractions and get a smaller number than either of them. You are multiplying either decimal by a number that is smaller than 1. As a result you get an answer that is smaller than 1 times the first number.

What is the area of rectangle with a length of 21 feet and a width of 15 feet?

Multiply the two numbers together - and you'll have your answer ! Hint - it's more than 310 but less than 320 ft2

What are multiples of 132?

There is an infinite number of multiples of 132. Choose any number and multiply, this will give you a product. Which is the name given to the result of multiplying numbers together. If you choose a number less than 1 then the result will be less than 132 but is also a multiple of it.

When two numbers multiply the result is increases but when you mutiply .5 and.5 the answer get decreases that is .25 how?

The number .5 means half. So, if you take half of something, that is less than the entire thing, right? And half of half is a quarter. Multiplication only makes numbers larger when you multiply numbers that are greater than one. If you multiply by one the number doesn't change. If you multiply by less than one, you make the number smaller.

I am thinking of a number. It is less than 20. It is an odd number. It has two different prime factors. What number am I thinking of?

The answer is 105 because 3,5, and 7 are all prime factors and when you multiply the numbers together it comes out to be 10

Why are rounded numbers easier to work with?

Less digits to work with. As an example, to multiply 4000 x 30,000, you only need to multiply 4 x 3, then attach all the zeros (7 zeros in this case) at the end. WITH A LITTLE BIT OF PRACTICE, YOU CAN DO THIS CALCULATION IN YOUR HEAD. However, if there are more significant digits (roughly speaking, non-zero digits), most people would need pencil and paper, or a calculator, to do such a calculation.

When two numbers multiply the result increases but when multiply half and half the result is quarter that is decreases how with brief explanation?

...but if you multiply a whole number by a half the result decreases. Half of anything is less than that thing!

When you multiply two rational numbers will you always get a number that is smaller than the two factors?

No. A rational number is ANY number that can be represented as one integer over a second integer (which cannot be zero). There is no requirement that the top integer is less than the bottom integer (an improper fraction is still a rational number - all integers are rational numbers as they can be represented as an improper fraction with a 1 as the denominator). Only if both rational numbers are less than 1 will the result of multiplying them together be less than both of them. If one rational number is greater than 1 and the other less than 1, then the result of multiplying them together is greater than the number less than 1 and less than the number greater than 1. If both rational numbers are greater than 1, then the result of multiplying them together is greater than both of them.
