There are 9 kingdoms and when the evil queen escapes part of this magical world slips into ours taking a normal girl and her dad back with it. It's all about them trying to find the magic mirror to return home to NewYork (New York or our world is considered The 10th Kingdom) and on their journey they find adventure, love, and life threatening events along with more amazing people and towns as they travel across the land. They also found out that all the things they've read about in the story books our true. And even though all they wanted in the beginning was to go back home they end up risking everything to save the 9 kingdoms, and all the secrets from their past are revealed.
