All the numbers greater than 1 - they are either

  • prime (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, ...); or

What are all the numbers that are not prime or composite?

The property of prime or composite applies only to integers. All other numbers (non-integer rationals and all irrational numbers) are neither prime nor composite. Within integers, 0 and 1 are neither prime nor composite.

What makes a number not prime or composite?

0 and 1 (and -1) are the only integers which are not prime nor composite. All non-integral numbers are also non-prime and non-composite. This is because the property is not defined for such numbers.

What is consecutive composite numbers?

Basically, composite numbers are the non-prime numbers. Take a table of prime numbers, and look for any two prime numbers, one after the other, that have a difference greater than 2. Any numbers in between are consecutive composite numbers. For example, the next prime number after 13 is 17; that makes 14, 15, and 16 three consecutive non-primes, i.e., composite numbers.
