Outcomes research is basically related to medical issues that refers to research that investigate the health care practices. It is applied clinical and population based research.

Research funds are allocated and the scientists are usually expected to have an answer by the end of the project and are often expected to show a profit. Applied research tries to make practical uses for some of those discoveries.
