18 divided by -1
-36 divided by 2
36 and -2 is one possible pair.
Unless your calculator has a key for it, the only method I know is awkward. Example : Take 24 and 114. Divide 114 ÷ 24. It gives 4.75. Subtract the integer part (4) to keep only the fraction part (0.75). Remultiply by 24. This gives 18. Do the same thing with the smallest number 24, and the new number 18. Divide 24 ÷ 18. It gives 1.33333333. Subtract the integer part (1) to keep only the fraction part (0.3333333). Remultiply by 18. This gives 12. Do the same thing with the smallest number 18, and the new number 12. Divide 18 ÷ 12. It gives 1.5. Subtract the integer part (1) to keep only the fraction part (0.5). Remultiply by 12. This gives 6. Do the same thing with the smallest number 12, and the new number 6. Divide 12 ÷ 6. It gives 2.0. When there is no fraction part left, the game is over, and the smallest number found is the GCF. So the answer is 6. Another example with 17 and 35. Divide 35 ÷ 17. It gives 2.05882352941. Subtract the integer part (2) to keep only the fraction part (0.05882352941). Remultiply by 17. This gives 1. Start again with the smallest number 17, and the new number 1. Divide 17 ÷ 1. It gives 17.0. There is no fraction part left, so the answer is the smallest number found, which is 1. When two numbers have no common factors, the answer will always be 1, since you can divide anything by 1.
To divide 18 into 75, divide 75 by 18. The answer will not be an even number. The answer is 4.1666666666667. This number should be rounded off to 4.17.
20 if you divide by 17. 19 if you divide by 16. 18 if you divide by 15, 17 if you divide by 14. And so on. In fact any number from 10 to 99. That is, every two digit number.
you cant. You have to divide the bigger number first.
Five thirds of eighteen is thirty. There are two ways to find this. One is to multiply 5 (the numerator) by 18, which gives you 90. Then, divide 90 by 3 (the denominator). This gives you 30. The other way is to divide eighteen by 3 to find one third of 18. To find 5 thirds of 18, simply multiply one third of 18 by 5.
6
Arranging the numbers in numerical order gives 18 21 25 29 32. Taking the median number (that is, the centre number) of these two gives 25.
Divide 18 by the bottom number of the fraction (the denominator).18 / 3 = 6Multiply the answer (the quotient) by the top number of the fraction (the numerator).6 x 2 = 12So 2/3 of 18 is 12.
18
Simply divide. 18 / 2 = 9, a whole number.
You choose any number for the first factor. Then you divide 18 by that first factor to get the second factor.
A foot is a measurement for a one-dimensional line. For square feet you need a second dimension, so you cannot convert one to the other.
