1. How long has it been there? 2. How old is the "female" in question? (children often will have a lymph gland in that general vacinity following an ear infection) 3. Is it reddened, hot, painful, draining? (as in an infected secaceous cyst)
probably an enlarged lymph node caused by an infection, a malignant tumor, or in really rare cases by cancer. I'm not a medical expert though so definitely get it checked out by your doctor.
