How many days a week do a Americans students go to school?

I am an American and I go to school. Americans go to five days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. School starts at 8 AM. and ends at 3 PM. average. But it depends on the school. Some schools, especially high schools, let out later. In most high schools, school opens at 7 AM. but won't start until around 8:30 AM. and usually end at 3:15 or 3:30 PM. But there are school holidays that schools close on that day. Some holidays even have a break from school. Like Christmas, you get about two weeks off average for Christmas. Not to mention that if it snows enough, you get a day off as a snow-day. If it snows, you could also simply get a 2-hour delay, or 1-hour delay. That means that school is delayed that day for that many hours and you simply go to school later than usual. On special occasions like last day of school, or certain circumstances like sudden storm in the middle of a school day or a power-out in the middle of a school day, you might get half off. A half day simply means that you leave early. Most of the time, on half days, you leave at 12. But like I said, depends on the school.
