Correlation between two variables implies a linear relationship between them.

The existence of correlation implies no causal relationship: the two could be causally related to a third variable. For example, my age is correlated with the number of TV sets in the UK but obviously there is no causal link between them - they are both linked to time.

What is correlational survey?

A correlational survey or study determines if two or more variables are correlated. It helps you determine the specific relationship between the variables.

What does ''highly correlated'' mean?

Correlation is defined as the degree of relationship between two or more variables. It is also called the simple correlation. The degree of relationship between two or more variables is called multi correlation. when two or more variables are said to be higjly correlated it means that they have a strong relationship such that a given rise or fall in one variable will lead to a direct change in the other variable or variables. good examples of highly correlated variables are price and quantity, wage rate and out put, tax and income.

Can a correlated study determine when there is lack of a relationship between two variables?

Sure. If you can observe that when variable A changed, variable B didn't change, and this happens repeatedly, that is a good indication that there is no relationship between those variables.

If two variables are highly correlated the correlation coefficient will be at or near zero-true or false?

If two variables are highly correlated, the Pearson correlation will be close to -1.0 or +1.0. A correlation of zero shows no relationship.

Used to show the relationship between two variables?

Line graph is used to show relationship between two variables.

If two graphs have exactly the same shape what can you tell about the variables?

The two variables are correlated.

If coefficient of correlation r between two variables is zero does it mean that there is no relationship between the variables Justify your answer?

"If coefficient of correlation, "r" between two variables is zero, does it mean that there is no relationship between the variables? Justify your answer".

Two variables that are likely to be correlated?

Height and Weight.

Do two variables that are significantly correlated share a variance?

No, they do not.

Why was there a need to invent linear equation in two variables?

If two variables are related, then the simplest relationship between them is a linear one. What is The measure of the relationship between two variables?

correlation * * * * * Only if the relationship is linear. For example, the correlataion between y and x when y = x2 is zero. But a very strong relationship between the two variables.

What is the relationship between two variables if the product of the variables is constant?

Inversely proportional.
