It is an interesting quirk of the Base Ten system that you can write powers of ten by counting zeroes.
To write "Ten to the Xth power", write a "1" followed by that many zeroes.
So 10 raised to the first power is 10.
10 raised to the second power is 100.
10 raised to the fifth power is a 1 followed by 5 zeroes, or 100,000.
And of course, ten raised to the zeroth power is 1.
10^(-5) = 1/10^5 = 1/100,000
That is one over one hundred thousand. The negative index indicates that the number is a fraction.
It is: 10-5 = 1/100000
56
10^5 or 10 to the 5th power
3 x (10 to power of -5) = 3/(10 to power of 5) = 3/100000 = 0.00003
10 to the 0 power is 10 and 5 to the 0 power is 5 so 10 multiplied by 5 equals 50.
10^5 = 100,000
10 to the 5th power
10^5 or 10 to the 5th power
It is: 5.6*10^5 The power of 10 is 5.
50,000,000,000Another Answer:-5 times 10 to the power of 0 = 5
3 x (10 to power of -5) = 3/(10 to power of 5) = 3/100000 = 0.00003
10 to the 0 power is 10 and 5 to the 0 power is 5 so 10 multiplied by 5 equals 50.
10 to the negative 5th power (10-5) equals 0.00001
10 to the power of -5 equals= 1 over 100000.
3.5 times 10 to the power of 5 is 350,000.
10^5 = 100,000
Power = 5 = exponent. That is, exponent = 5.
It is: (8*10^-3) divided by (5*10^-5) = 160
10 to the 5th power
