There can be no equivalence.

PSI, or pounds per square inch, is a measure of pressure with dimensions [ML-2] while a ton is a measure of mass with dimensions [M]. A ton is not a measure of pressure so the two measure different things and, according to basic principles of dimensional analysis, any attempt at conversion from one to the other is fundamentally flawed.
