A half can be rewritten as 10/20, two fifths can be rewritten as 8/20, and three quarters can be re written as 15/20
When you add the whole numbers, you get 4 + 3 + 6 = 13.
When you add the fractions, you get (10 + 15 + 8) / 20 = 33/20
You can leave it as 13 and 33 twentieths or you can convert it to a mixed number.
The mixed number would be 14 and 13/20 (thirteen twentieths)
