f(x)=x-2; What is f(4)?

Anything to a negative exponent is the same a 1 divided by that thing to the positive of that exponent. For instance:

2-3=1/(23)=1/8

So while 23=8, 2-3=1/8

This property works with functions as well. f(x)=x-2=1/x2

So, f(4)=(4)-2=1/42=1/16.

f(4)=1/16=0.0625
