A Factor Tree
factor tree
A diagram is not needed because 2 is a prime number whose only factors are itself and one which makes it a prime number in common with all other prime numbers.
Paulina's Method is similar to the Factor Tree, it breaks down a number by dividing by the number's factors. The only numbers left will be the prime factors. For example: 56|2 28|2 14|2 7|7 1|
real number system (diagram) and explain it
A factor tree is one such diagram.

The factors of one number are in the left circle, the factors of the other are in the right. The common factors are in the space in the middle where they intersect. The largest of these is the GCF.

it is a way of finding out all of the prime numbers that you have to multiply to equal the desired number.
Put the factors of one number in the left circle and the factors of the other in the right circle. Put any common factors in the middle where the circles intersect. The largest of these is the GCF.
