Length. 100 meters.

The prefix "Hecto-" means "hundred" but is not one of the recommended SI prefixes yet is found often in "hectogram" (mass: 100 grams); hectare (area: 100 ar = 100*100 meters) etc.

A hectometer (hm) a metric unit measuring distance. It is derived from the SI unit of meter (m), with one 1 hm equaling 100 meters. An example of the unit applied would be One World Trade Center in New York City with a height of 5.41 hm.

Hexameter is a literary and poetic form, consisting of six metrical feet per line. The following poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge is called "Hexameters" and is addressed to William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy. Its rhythm is that of the waltz ie One, two, three, One, two, three and it is therefore a dactylic hexameter. William, my teacher, my friend ! dear William and dear Dorothea !

Smooth out the folds of my letter, and place it on desk or on table ;

Place it on table or desk ; and your right hands loosely half-closing,

Gently sustain them in air, and extending the digit didactic,

Rest it a moment on each of the forks of the five-forkéd left hand,

Twice on the breadth of the thumb, and once on the tip of each finger ;

Read with a nod of the head in a humouring recitativo ;

And, as I live, you will see my hexameters hopping before you.

This is a galloping measure ; a hop, and a trot, and a gallop !

It's not that kind of meter. It's 100 metres, or one-tenth of a kilometre. The USA blundered when it changed the spelling of these words; in the rest of the world you can see which is which.
