Rhombuses are paralellograms. Also, they're what you might call a diamond.

Not a particularly useful answer since a rectangle is also a parallelogram. The two differences are:

  • all the sides of a rhombus are of equal length while in a rectangle opposite sides are equal but adjacent sides are usually not equal (if they are, then the shape is a square);
  • all the angles of a rectangle are right angles while in a rhombus opposite angles are equal but adjacent angles are usually not equal (if they are, then the shape is a square).
