A star network uses a central server to route data between clients.

The central server (or the switching hub) switches data around the network. Data flow between the server and the nodes will therefore be relatively low. A typical star network are mainframe computers.

Star topology, also known as star network, is a computer network topology. It is a common network setup where the computers and other devices on the network are connected to a central or master computer, also known as the hub.

Star Topology is the most common type of network topology that is used in homes and offices. In the Star Topology there is a central connection point called the hub which is a computer hub or sometimes just a switch. In a Star Network the best advantage is when there is a failure in cable then only one computer might get affected and not the entire network.

for kids to cook kfc lol joking.

it is the same as bus, ring, and mesh to help make networking easier.

What is the network topology that has a server in the middle?

Star topology.

Which topology is the most commonly used server network topology?

The most common LAN topology is that of a "star." In a star topology, each computer, or "node", is connected to a central hub. This is more reliable than a more classical "ring" topology, because a node failing will not bring down the entire network. A bus topology is arguably more reliable, but has poorer performance.

Ring topology and star topology?

There are number of LAN technologies and each technology is classified into a category according to its topology , two such topologies are star and ring topology. In star topology ,The hub accepts data from a sender and delivers it to receiver, there is no security in star topology . In Ring topology Computers are connected in a circle- the first computer is cabled with the second computer.
