Best Answer

First, factor each number and express this way:

12 = 22 x 3

22 = 2 x 11

30 = 2 x 3 x 5

Now, take the greatest power of each factor and find the product: 22 x 3 x 5 x 11= 660 is the LCM

Note: I selected only the 22 because it was the greatest power of 2 than any other factor of "2" in the other numbers. I selected one 3 beause it was the greatest power of 3, and one 5 and one 11 because they were unique factors. This method will effectively find the LCM of any set of numbers.

Factor each one. Then use each Prime number the most each one was used in any number.

12=2x2x3

22=2x11

30=2x3x5

LCM=2x2x3x5x11=660
