What is the isosceles right triangle conjecture?

in an isosceles triangle, if the legs have length L, then the hypotenuse has length L square root of 2

What is the area of a right isosceles triangle with a hypotenuse is 16 square root 2?

Area of the right isosceles triangle: 0.5*16*16 = 128 square units

How do you find a missing length in isosceles triangle?

1) The hypotenuse side will ALWAYS be the the side w/ the radical 2. 2) So if you want to find the HYPOTENUSE of an ISOSCELES triangle, you MULTIPLY one of the LEGS by the the square root of 2. 3) If you want to find the LEG of an ISOSCELES triangle, you DIVIDE the HYPOTENUSE by the square root of 2. ***** Hypotenuse of an isosceles triangle= one leg divided by square root of 2. ***** Leg of an isosceles triangle= hypotenuse divided by the square root of 2. 11.489

Isosceles triangle has a base of 12 and a leg length of 8. What is the height?

square root of 28

What is the base of an isosceles triangle with leg 9 cm and height 6 cm?

Square root of 45.

How do you calculate the hypotenuse of an isosceles right triangle?

An isosceles right triangle will always have its shorter sides of the same length, and the hypotenuse will always be this length times sin(45o) or times the square root of 0.5.

What type of triangle has two equal sides and a right angle?

An Isosceles right triangle. If the length of either of the two sides is N then the hypotenuse is N times the square root of 2. an isosceles right triangle can not be an equilateral triangle since the hypotenuse can not be the same size as the other two sides..

In an isosceles right triangle the hypotenuse is radical three and if the hypotenuse is 12 then what is the smaller leg of that triangle?

If the hypotenuse is the square root of three, then the legs are (root 6)/2. If the hypotenuse is 12, then the legs are 6(root 2). This is because, for any given right isosceles triangle, the length of the hypotenuse x is root two times the length of the legs.

Find the length of the hypotenuse of an isosceles right triangle whose legs are 1 unit in length?

square root of two.

What is the length of the legs if the hypotenuse of an isosceles right triangle is 8 inches?

its about 5.657. 8 divided by the square root of 2

What is the perimeter of a triangle with the vertices located at (-14) (27)(15)?

If you mean vertices of (-1, 4) (2, 7) and (1, 5) then it is an isosceles triangle with a perimeter of square root of 18 plus square root of 5 plus square root of 5 which is about 8.715 rounded to three decimal places.
