Suppose the angle is x degrees.

Then supplementary angle = 180 - x

and compementary = 90 - x

So, 180 - x = 4*(90 - x)

ie 180 - x = 360 - 4x

or 3x = 180 or x = 60 degrees.

A pair of angles whose sum is 90 degrees are called?

Two angles whose sum is 90 degrees are called complementary angles. Two angles whose sum is 180 degrees are called supplementary angles. A single angle of 90 degrees is called a right angle.

Are two adjacent angles whose exterior sides are opposite rays always complementary?

No? Wouldn't they then be supplementary? Opposite rays make a straight angle/line, and if the exterior sides made the straight angle, the adjacent angles would be supplementary. ...Right?

What angle is supplementary to a 110 degree angle?

Supplementary angles are angles whose sum is 180° . The supplementary angle to 110° is therefore 70°.

Give example of complementary and supplementary angles?

Two angles whose sum is 90 degrees?

two angles whose sum is 90 degrees is a complementary angle.

What are supplementary and complementary angles?

The sum of two complementary angles is 90.E.g. 30 degrees and 60 degrees are each others complementary angles. The sum of two supplementary angles is 180.E.g. 105 and 75 are each others supplementary angles.Supplementary angles are those whose angles add up to 180 degrees. Complementary angles are those whose angles add up to 90 degrees.

What is a supplamentary angles?

Two angles whose sum is 180 degrees are supplementary. If it is 90 degrees then they are complementary.

Two angles whos sum is 180 degrees?

The term supplementary angle is used to refer to angles whose sum is 180 degrees. This is different from complementary angles which add up to 90 degrees.

The supplement of a 65 degree angle has a measure of?

Supplementary angles are angles whose sums =180 degrees. You have a 65 degree angle + it's supplementary angle = 180 degrees. So, to find the supplementary angle, subtract 65 from 180. 180 - 65 = supplementary angle. 115 = supplementary angle. To check, add the angles together. 65 + 115 = 180 (check) (Also, you might be working with complimentary angles. Complimentary angles are angles whose sum = 90 degrees.)

Which angle measure is a complementary of an angle whose measure is 105 degrees?

180-105 = 75

What angle is supplementary to a right angle?

Definition of a supplementary angle: an angle that is supplementary to another angle is an angle in which the sum of both angles forms a straight line or 180 degrees.Definition of a right angle: an angle whose measure is 90 degrees.Using these terms, let's put them into an equation.Right angle + Supplementary angle = 180.90 + Supplementary angle = 180.Subtract 90 from both sides.Supplementary angle = 180 - 90Supplementary angle = 90 degrees.Alternatively, you can think that two right angles are equivalent to a straight line and that all right angles are congruent and therefore; their supplementary angles are also congruent.

Two angles whose measures add up to 90 degrees?

Complementary, (and two angles whose measures add up to 180 degrees are Supplementary)
