Great question! It is because the "standard" is a kilogram cylinder of metal in Paris. A gram is 1/1000 of that. This is actually a problem since it is not as stable as once thought. There is a move afoot to change to a more stable, reproducible and portable standard.
Kilograms is the official base unit for mass in the SI. Earlier "metric systems" sometimes used centimeters, grams, and seconds; the SI uses meters, kilograms, and seconds - probably because the cgs systems resulted in some fairly small units.
Because grams are on a scale too small for regular use.
Actually, the international unit for mass is the kilogram. Both gram and kilogram have been defined as units of mass, so that's why they are used.
The kilogram is the basic metric unit of mass.
That is the unit that is used.
The appropriate scale for the measurement of the weight of an earring would the milligram. this is because the weight of an earring is so small that it would be difficult to determine it s weight while reading on a bigger scale like the kilogram.
if youll dont answer this question this will not be pretty how much will 35 now in millimeters know answer it if you dont i will tell people to stop getting on here and im not laughing im pretty mad right now i want to throw something a crose the room
the ANSWER is grams (if it is wrong dont blam me OK im just a 4th grader peace out)
it is 35.7 u bot
i dont know somebody can improve my answer but i think you put in water and then it will weigh more
Grams is a measure of weight, km or kilometer is a measure of length, the two do not compare. Do not listen to that .... I dont know is the answer
That will depend upon the size of the mug and what it is made from.

This is not a valid conversion; milligrams (mg) and grams (g) are measures of weight or mass while milliliters (mL or ml) measure volume.
you dont. kilogram is a measure of weight and meter is a measure of distance
buyers dont usually go by grams they go by penny weight and depending prolly no more than 3-5 penny weight.
This is not a proper conversion. Cubic centimeters (cc) is a measure of volume. Grams (g), kilograms (kg) and milligrams (mg) are measures of weight or mass.
I dont know, but its probably less than the weight of a small adult
Firstly, its grams not milliliters, Secondly, you dont measure dog food in milliliters, its cups, grams or pounds, and thirdly its 1000 grams to a kilogram
they dont have the fat their body is used to.
i dont know the weight but i do know the percentage it is 75%
No, i dont think you lose 21 grams of weight when you die. a scientist made an experiment, attempting to figure it out. the very first time he tested it out, the weight of the persons was 21 grams diffrent. in later attempts, with other persons, it was not.
