The largest bat in the world is the Giant Golden-Crowned Flying Fox, also known as the Golden-Capped Fruit Bat, with an average wingspan of 1.5 meters in length! Sadly, it is endangered because of poachers and there is a danger of extinction. It get it's name from the golden fur around it's head, which makes it's face look fox-like. They mostly eat figs, but will eat other food if figs are unavailable.
