Under today's modern rules the birth date is March-XI-MCMXLIV and 66 is LXVI in Roman numerals.

But the Romans themselves would have probably calculated the year 1944 on an abacus counting device as MDCCCCXXXXIIII which they then would have possibly simplified it to IVLMM (-56+2000=1944) by adding LVI to the right hand side and subtracting LVI from the left hand side of these numerls. As is done in a similar manner to an algebra equation in order to keep the balance correct.

Notice that the positive and negative numerals go in opposite directions which is similar in a way to that of numbers on the mathematical number line.

Today's rules governing the Roman numeral system were drawn up during the Middle Ages and that was centuries after the decline of the Roman Empire. The Roman numeral system was derived from the Etruscan numeral system and the Etruscans once ruled the Romans.

Happy LXVI Birthday!!!
