The diagonal = the square root of (6 squared + 8 squared)

6 squared+8squared = 100

the square root of 100 = 10

so the length of the diagonal is 10.

The above used Pythagoras' theorem which says the square on the diagonal is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides.

A rectangle has an area of 31.2 square meters what is the width of the rectangle if the length is 6 meters?

area of a rectangle = length * width. Rearranging, we have width = area / length. Therefore, the width of the rectangle = 31.2 [m2] / 6 [m] = 5.2 [m] ========================

How do you find the length of a rectangle if you have the diagonal and width?

The best way to do this would be to use the Pythagorean Theorem, but in reverse. So let's say the diagonal is 10, and the width is 8. You would do (10^2) / (8^2). This equals 36. The square root of 36 is 6. So your answer would be 6 for the length. Hope this answer helps!

If a rectangle has an area of 24m² and it length is 6m What is its width?
