A km is a kilometer, or kilo-meter. Kilo means 1,000, thus 1,000 meters. An mm, or millimeter is 1/1,000 of a meter. They are related in that they are the conjugate of each other: km= 1,000 m, mm= 1/1,000 m.

In terms of measurement Mm is a megameter, which is 106 or 1 million meters. It is not a very commonly used unit. mm is a millimeter, which is 10-3 or one thousandth of a meter.
