1.)Blood Vessels

These are hollow, tubular vessels which

conduct the blood from the heart to the tissues and from the tissues

to the heart. There are 3 type of blood vessels, arteries,

capillaries and veins.

Veins

The arteriole capillaries join to form

venous capillaries which then join to form the venules and veins. The

veins are thin walled vessels. The walls of the veins have all the

three layers as in an artery, but they are comparatively thinner,

less elastic and less muscular. The pressure of the blood in a vein

is low and the speed is slow. It has a wide lumen and is superficial.

Blood

The blood is a fluid connective tissue.

It is opaque and somewhat sticky. It is more viscous than distilled

water with a viscosity of 4.7 and slightly alkaline in nature,

Oxygenated blood is bright red while the deoxygenated blood is purple

coloured.

Blood flows in the blood vessels due to

the pumping action of the heart. It forms about 6-10% of the body

weight and about 30-35% of the ECF. Adult humans contain about 5

litres of blood.

2.) Arterial system carries freshly oxygenated blood,

venous system unoxygenated blood.

5.) A Closed Circulatory system-Is a blood circulation system in which

blood moves through the body in closed vessels.

In the closed

circulatory system, the blood is confined to vessels. The heart pumps

blood to vessels through smaller vessels which go to the organs. This

system has a more efficient way of transporting blood then an open

circulatory system.

Some animals that have this systems include

earthworms, squids, octopus, and all vertebrates, like humans.

Vertebrates,

and a few invertebrates, have a closed circulatory system. Closed

circulatory systems have the blood closed at all times within vessels

of different size and wall thickness. In this type of system, blood

is pumped by a heart through vessels, and does not normally fill body

cavities.

6.) The

human heart about as big as your fist. The frog's heart is the size

of a dime. They are both very similar other than that the frog has 3

chambers and the human has 4. The blood in the the left atrium has

deoxygenated blood and the right has oxygenated blood. They both

enter the ventricle which keeps them mostly separate while the blood

drains into the arteries for transport around the body

The frog and human circulatory systems are very different from each other. The frog's heart only has 3 chambers were as the human heart as four. They do share the same job of circulating the blood in the body to move oxygen to the organs.

What is the difference between the respiratory and the circulatory system?

The digestive system breaks down and absorbs food. The circulatory system circulates blood through your body. The respiratory system exchanges oxygen and carbon dioxide. With the help of the circulatory system it transfers these gases to and from your cells.

What is the difference between a closed and open circulatory system?

We, as vertebrates, have a closed system in that our blood travels from the heart and back. Other organisms don't have such a system. Open circulatory systems allow all fluids in an organism to mix.

What is the difference between the transport system of plant to the transport system of animals?

Plants really don't have a circulatory system. Water and nutrients move through a plant by simple physics. It's not pumped anywhere like an animal's circulatory system is.
