β 9y agoIf you mean points of (-3, 1) and (-7, 1) then using the distance formula it is 10 units
I am not sure that anyone was named AFTER the Cartesian coordinate system. Malcolm X, possibly!
It was invented by rene desCARTES and therefore named after him. It was named after him from his latin name, Renatus Cartesius.
Length is the distance between two different points. But perimeter is the distance between the same point. Really interesting. Isn't it? Perimeter of sqaure is 4 x side Perimeter of rectangle is 2 (length + breadth) Perimeter of triangle is a + b + c Perimeter of a circle is specially named as circumference.
Here is one option: 2 points uniquely define a line so a line can be named after any two points that belong to it. Similarly, three points that are not collinear (all in the same line) uniquely define a plane so a plane can be defined by naming any three non-collinear points in it. There are different - though related - forms in coordinate geometry or in vector algebra.

Using the distance formula from (3, 1) to (7, 1) is 4 units
The answer is 'graph'

The average distance between Pluto and its moon Nix is about 19,600 kilometers. Nix orbits around Pluto at a distance of roughly 30,000 kilometers.
the points are that a boy named Adam has to delever a letter to a friend named davi

The distance between Bethany and Ephraim depends on the specific locations in question, as there are multiple places with those names worldwide. It would be necessary to provide more specific information to calculate the distance accurately.
