It depends on what the formula is for: volume, surface area, number of faces, number of edges, number of vertices, etc.

Triangular Prism Formula :

Area of Base(A) = ½ * a * b

Perimeter of Base(P) = s1 + s2 + s3

Surface Area of Prism = ab + (s1 + s2 + s3)h = ab + Ph

Volume of Prism = ½ * a * b * h = Ah

where

a = altitude, b = base, h = height and s1, s2, s3 are sides
