a2+b2=c2, but that only works for right triangles, where c is opposite the right angle.

The law of cosines, see Related Link below, will help for non right triangles, but you need to know one of the angles.

What is the formula for measuring the side of a triangle if you have two sides?

Two sides of a triangle do not, automatically, give you the measure of the third side. Further information about the triangle is required.

Formula for a triangle?

Heron's formula to find area of triangle semi perimeter(s)=sum of all the sides of triangle/2 area of tiangle=P[s(s-first side)(s-second side)(s-third side)]1/2

Perimeter of a triangle = (length of the first side) plus (length of the second side) plus (length of the third side)

What is the measure of the third side of a triangle?

This will depend upon the type of triangle. For an equilateral, all sides will be the same length. For a right angle triangle, the formula a2 + b2 = c2 is used.

What can be found using the pythagorean theorem formula?

If you know two sides of a right triangle, the Pythagorean Formula lets you find the third side. Also, if you know all three sides of a triangle, you can confirm whether it is, or isn't, a right triangle.

What is the formula for perimeter of a right triangle when one side is missing?

Surely you know how to find the third side of a right triangle, when you know the lengths of the other two. Find it, and then add up the lengths of the three sides to get the perimeter.

What is the length of the third side of an equilateral triangle have?

The length of the third side of an equilateral triangle is the same as the lengths of both of the other two sides.

It is the same length as the corresponding side on the other triangle.

What is the formula of a triangle in perimeter?

Perimeter of a triangle = (length of side #1) + (length of side #2) + (length of side #3)

If one side of a triangle is 11 and the other side is 5 what is the minimum length of the third side?

The minimum third side length of a triangle having one side of 11 and another side of 5 is 6.

If one side of a triangle is 3 feet and the other is 2 feet what is the third side?

The length of the third side of this triangle must be greater than 1 foot and less than 5 feet, and the third side would be either 2 feet or 3 feet if it were an isosceles triangle.
