The same as in any other math class. All functions are relations but all relations are not functions. A function must have only one 'answer' in the range for each value of the domain. Relations are just pairing of numbers with no such restriction on the range.

What are functions in trigonometry?

The basic functions of trigonometry are: sine cosine tangent secant cosecant cotangent

Who made trigonometry?

Hipparchus is considered as the father of trigonometry. he was the one who found the relation between angles of a triangle and its lengths of sides. this relation has developed into an entirely new branch in mathematics as trigonometry. so, one might as well say that he 'made' trigonometry.

What are the functions of trigonometry?

The six basic functions of trigonometry are the sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent functions. Abbreviated sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, cot.

What is a Function in Trigonometry?

There are two types of functions in trigonometry: there are functions that are mappings from angles to real numbers, and there are functions that are mappings from real numbers to angles. In some cases, the domains or ranges of the functions need to be restricted.

What are trigonometry?

"IS" not "are"! The numerical study of angles and their functions.

What is the difference between angles of trigonometry and angles of geometry?

In geometry, angles are studied mostly in relation to each other. In Trigonometry, angles are studied in relation to side lengths and triangles.

What is relation between Trigonometry and criminology?

There is no direct relationship. Trigonometry can be used in criminology as can many branches of mathematics and of science.

What is the domain and range of trigonometry functions?

No domain no range

What has the author James E Hall written?

James E. Hall has written: 'Trigonometry; circular functions and their applications' -- subject(s): Plane trigonometry, Trigonometrical functions

Is trigonometry included in order of operations?

Not specifically trigonometry, but functions in general. As a general rule, functions must be evaluated before using the results in other parts of the calcuation.

When do we use trig functions?

Trigonometry functions are used to work out the various properties of triangles.

Why all functions relation?

Function is a special case of relation. It means function is a relation but all relations are not functions. Therefore all functions are relations.
