Answer: Infinity or there is none.

One common multiple of 8 and 28 is 224. If I double it, which is 448, I have a larger common multiple. If I double it again, which is 896, I have an even larger common multiple. I can continue doubling it forever, so there is no greatest common multiple, or it can be said to be infinite.
