First of all please spell 'calculating' correctly, NOT 'caculating'.

Equation for acceleration.

Acceleration = ( change in velocity) divided by time.

This can be further expressed as

acceleration = ( final velocity - initial velocity) / time

Algebraically this can be written as

a = (v - u) / t

The metric units are

a(m/s^2) = (v(m/s) - u(m/s) / t(s)
