∙ 11y ago31, here's how: The median is the middle number. In this case there are 16 data numbers. Since there are an even number of data, take the two closest to the middle, and average those two (the mean of those two). The Sorted list is below. The middle two numbers are 30 and 32, so average those to 31.

∙ 11y agoIn the example provided, the quartiles are: 25% = 16.5 (the median of {15, 16, 17, 18}) 50% = 18.5 (the median of {15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22}) 75% = 20.5 (the median of (19, 20, 21, 22})
16.5 is the median.
It is 18, the middle number when they are in order.
I believe it is 19.5.

Mean = 21.6 Median = 19.5 Mode = 20 and 21 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If the "2 1" (between 18 and 20 at the end) is supposed to be "21" then Mean = 26 Median = 20 Mode = 20

the median for 16,16,16,16,16,16,16,16,17,17,17,17,17,17,18,18,18,20,21,25 is 17

I believe it is 19.5.
In order, the numbers are 18, 21, 24 and 37. Since there are an even number (4) of them, the median is the average of the middle two. ie median = (21+24)/2 = 22.5
18
Mean = 20 Median = 18 Mode = 18 Range = 9
It is 18, the number in the middle when they are arranged in order.
The median is the middle number of any given set when they are in order, least to greatest. If there is an even number of values, the median is the average of the middle two. Ex. (14, 16, 16, 20, 21, 23) The median is 18. In any given set, the mode is the number that appears most often. If no number appears more frequently than any other, there is no mode. Ex. (14, 16, 16, 20, 21, 23) The mode is 16. In any given set, the range is the smallest number subtracted from the largest number. Ex. (14, 16, 16, 20, 21, 23) 23 - 14 = 9 The range is 9. In any given set, the mean is the average, which is the total of the numbers divided by how many numbers there are. Ex. (14, 16, 16, 20, 21, 23) 14 + 16 + 16 + 20 + 21 + 23 = 110 There are 6 numbers in this set. 110/6 = 18 and 1/3 The mean is 18 and 1/3.
16 + 16 + 16 + 17 + 18 + 18 + 18 + 19 + 19 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 21 = 238
