With each term, you multiply a number n. "n" increases by 1 each time. So:

1 * 1 = 1

1 * 2 = 2

2 * 3 = 6

6 * 4 = 24

In the equations above, the first number is the previous term, the second is "n", and the third is the current term.

According to this pattern, the next number is 120.

120. 1*2=2, 2*3=6, 6*4= 24, 24*5= 120. The pattern is that you multiply the numbers by consecutive intergers.

What is the next number pattern in the sequence 1-3-4-6-9-12-16?

Here's the pattern I came up with:1 = 123 = 3 x 204 = 226 = 3x219 = 3212 = 3x2216 = 42so using this pattern above the next number should be 3x23 or 24.

What does patter mean in math?

In a number series, you must figure out the "pattern" in order to say what will be the next number. For example, in each of the following number series, say what is the pattern, and what is the next number. 1. 1 3 5 7 Answer: The pattern is to increase the previous number by 2, and the next number is 9. 2. 3 10 31 94 Answer: The pattern is to multiply the previous number by 3, then add 1, and the next number is 283. 3. 100 10 1 0.1 Answer: The pattern is to divide the previous number by 10, and the next number is 0.01.

What will the next number be in the pattern 1 3 2 3 4 6?

Given ANY number it is possible to find a polynomial of order 6 such that it will predict it as the next number in the pattern. The position to value rule:Un= (2n5- 37n4+ 260n3-851n2+ 1274n + 624)/24 for n = 1, 2, 3, ... predicts 23.Given ANY number it is possible to find a polynomial of order 6 such that it will predict it as the next number in the pattern. What is the next number in the series 25 28 24 27 23 26 22?

The pattern appears to be that n1 is defined as 25; n2 = n1 + 3; n3 = n2 - 4 = n1 - 1. If this is the pattern, the next number would be 25. If this is the pattern, the series would repeat endlessly: 25, 28, 24, 27,23, 26, 22, 25, , 28, 24, 27,23, 26, 22, ...

What is the next Number in the Series 15 24 25 5 14 15 is it 1 2 3 24 45?

No. The pattern is: +9, +1, -20, +9, +1, -20... So the next five numbers are: -5, 4, 5, -15, -6.
