The optical density of a medium is not the same as its physical density. The physical density of a material refers to the mass/volume ratio. Optical density determines how much a light wave is slowed down as it passes through a medium. The more optically dense a material is, the slower that a wave will move through the material.
The refractive index is a measurement of optical density. A medium with a low optical density, would have also a low refractive index.
For example air, having a low optical density has a refractive index of 1.0003, whereas water, with a higher optical density, has a higher refractive index of 1.333.
The ratio of speed of light in air to speed of light in any medium is known as refractive index
Density is the ratio mass/volume.
Refractive index is the ratio between speed of light and phase velocity in a material.
"density"
Generally, this term is called ACCURACY.
Density doesn't happen. It's simply a derived metric, a math term. But in general, density is a measure of quantity per unit basis. Here are some examples: Q/U = kilograms of mass/volume in meters^3 = mass density Q/U = number of people/area containing them km^2 = population density Q/U = number of electrons in a wire/length of the wire meter = electron linear density NOTE: The unit bases were volume, area, and length. My point is that density can be specified by any one of those three bases.
Reactant concentration is the exponent or index in which a substance's concentration term is increased in the rate equation. Reactant concentration is also known as the order of reaction.
The term specific gravity means density in comparison to that of water. Density is weight divided by volume. So to get the volume, pour the oil into a graduated cylinder or measuring cup (same principle). To get the weight, use a scale (a chemist would use a triple beam balance). Once you have the density you can divide it by the density of water, and the result is the specific gravity.
The base line for the index of refraction is the amount of directional deviation that is produced when a beam of light travels from the air into another substance. The term "high index" is a relative term. Glycerin actually has a low index of refraction when compared to motor oil. I can't be certain but I believe that the density and opacity of a substance plays a big part in the determination of it's relative index.
The ratio of speed of light in a given pair of media , gives us a measure of the extent of refraction of a ray of light as it goes from one medium to another. We use this ratio to define a term called the relative refractive index for a given pair of media . A relative refractive index is light that passes from one transparent medium to another.

Density is the mass per unit volume of any substance.
mass is the density of any given object. what i mean by this is that it is how closely together the molecules are placed, aka the density.
The medical term for this condition is "refractive error." Refractive errors occur when the shape of the eye prevents light from focusing directly on the retina, leading to blurred vision. Some common types of refractive errors include myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism.
It is an expression used in the context of sequences and refers to a way of expressing any term in the sequence using an index or counter. It is often called the nth term.
Density is the ratio of an object's mass divided by its volume. The standard international unit to measure density is kilograms per cubic meter (kg/m3).
Beta is a number that describes how the volatility of a stock varies with a nominated benchmark index. It's the covariance of the stock with respect to the index divided by the variance of the index. The related link contains more information
