a line
a line
Linear = Straight line! So, a graph of a linear relationship is a straight line.
A graph which consists of short straight lines which keep changing direction. Example : a graph line which is inclined at say, 30 degrees to a horizontal, then changes direction instantly to a line which is say, inclined at 60 degrees to the horizontal , etc. If the shape of a graph is not a series of straight lines joined to each other, then it is not a step graph.
The shape and slope of the line on a graph illustrates the qualitative and quantitative relationship between the variables plotted on the axes of the graph. Sadly, there is no such graph as a "speed or time" one.
Each point on a line graph in 2-dimensional space can correspond to an ordered pair of values for two variables which is observed. Or, if it is a fitted line graph, it is an estimated ordered pair.
a line
It takes the shape of a line.
a pie graph is a circle shape or the shape of a pie. for each answer of the data given, it is then changed in to an angle which is transferred into the circle showing the percentage of data. A line graph is set up like a column graph except you don't put the columns in, instead you put a dot next to the number of data for each one you would draw a column next to. when you have drawn all the dots you join them together which makes a line and shows you the data.
When a graph shows a trend that is noticeable. Such as a line or a curve in a certain shape.

the scale would be how many units or numbers you go by each line in the line graph.

a line graph is where you plot out your answers. you put dots next to each other by 1 inch and draw a line to each dot so you see if something is better or worse than before.
a broken line graph
Line graph- two axis, plot the graph with each points (e.g 2,4) and join them up with a straight or curve line Bar graph- Drawn using bars Pie graph- circle of 360 degrees and divide each section measured according to the given value
The slope of each point on the line on the graph is the rate of change at that point. If the graph is a straight line, then its slope is constant. If the graph is a curved line, then its slope changes.
