Leading 0s are not significant digits, nor are trailing 0s after a decimal point in some situations.

For example in 01000.01000, the first 0 is not significant as it can be left off without impacting the number. The final three 0s can be significant in some cirmcumstances, such as precise scientific measurements, or non-significant as they do not alter the number's value of 1000.01

### Is considered a significant digit when it is to the left or the right of the decimal point and it follows a non-zero digit or when it is betwee two digits?

Zero is considered a significant digit when it is to the left or the right of the decimal point. It is also a significant digit when it follows a non-zero digit or when it is between two digits.

### Zero are always considered significant digits when they are to the left of the decimal point as in 0.032?

No, a leading zero is NEVER a significant digit.

### Is considered a significant digit when it is to the left or the right of the decimal point and it follows a non-zero digit or when it is betwee two digits.?

All digits between the first non-zero digit and the last non-zero digits are significant. Some would argue that trailing 0s are significant since they are an indication of the precision of the number.

### Is considered a significant digit when it is to the left or the right of the decimal point and it follows a non-zero digit or when it is betwee two digits. Answer?

All digits between the first non-zero digit and the last non-zero digits are significant. Some would argue that trailing 0s are significant since they are an indication of the precision of the number.

### Is considered a significant digit when it is to the left or the right of the decimal point and it follows a nonzero digit or where. It is between two digit?

All digits between the first non-zero digit and the last non-zero digits are significant. Some would argue that trailing 0s are significant since they are an indication of the precision of the number.

### Is considered a significant digit when it is to the left or the right of the decimal point and it follows a nonzero digit or when. It is between two digit?

All digits between the first non-zero digit and the last non-zero digits are significant. Some would argue that trailing 0s are significant since they are an indication of the precision of the number.

### What is considered a significant digit when it is to the left or right decimal point and it follows a nonzero digit?

All digits between the first non-zero digit and the last non-zero digits are significant. Some would argue that trailing 0s are significant since they are an indication of the precision of the number.

### Is considered a significant digit when it is to the left or the right of the decimal point and do it follows a non-zero digit?

If I understand this convoluted sentence correctly, then think it is true.

### How if a digits is significant?

Any non-zero digit, if it appears in the decimal representation of a number, is significant. A zero is significant if it is not a leading zero.

### When is zero considered significant?

When it is between non-zero digits, e.g.: 504 or 2005When there is one or more zeros after the last non-zero digit AFTER the decimal point, e.g.: 3.40 When there are zeros after the last non-zero digit in a whole number, one or more zeros MAY be significant, e.g.: 500. But if you have to guess, you should consider such zeros to be non-significant.

### Is considered a significant digit when it is to the right of the decimal point it follows a non-zero digit or when it is between two digits?

I'll assume you're asking about zeros. Zeros appearing anywhere between two non-zero digits are significant. In the other two cases they could be, but are not necessarily significant.

### What is a significant digit when it is to the left or right of the decimal and it follows a non zero digit?

All digits between the first non-zero digit and the last non-zero digits are significant. Some would argue that trailing 0s are significant since they are an indication of the precision of the number.
