(x - 4) + (2x - 7) = 3x - 11
You get that by:
Adding the x terms (one plus two) to get 3x; and adding the plain (non-x) numbers together. In this can both plain numbers are negative, so you get a negative of eleven, which is the sum of the absolute values 4 and 7.
To find the sum of these values, we work it out by counting numbers of items!
Suppose we have 7 X's and someone gave you 4 X's. In picture form, we have:
X X X X X X X + X X X X
Count the X's altogether to obtain 11 X's.
7 + 4 = 11
SUM means plus 4+7=11
The sum of 3 plus 4 is 7.
The sum of 5116 and 4 is 5120, and 5120 divided by 7 is 731.4
The sum of 7 and 4 is 11, whether in an Excel spreadsheet or anywhere else. In Excel the formula would be =SUM(4,7) or =4+7 or =(B12+B13) if the values 7 and 4 were in cells B12 and B13.
13 + 7 + 4 = 24
4(7+V)
7 + 4 = 11
-4
-6 + 7 - 4 = -3
7
-4 + 7 = 3
The sum is the answer to an addition problem. Example: 7 is the sum in the problem 3+4=7
