This coin is often called a Barber dime, after its designer Charles Barber. Look on the back for a small mint mark. It may be blank, or there may be an S. Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 03/2013:

No mint mark:
Very worn condition - $3.5
Moderately worn - $6
Slightly worn - $23
Almost no wear - $67
Uncirculated - $103-$1400 depending on quality

S mint mark:
Very worn condition - $6
Moderately worn - $32
Slightly worn - $44
Almost no wear - $120
Uncirculated - $270-6800

1913 is not considered a rare date.

DISCLAIMER: The retail values quoted are the best available as of the date shown, but may vary significantly due to changes in the precious metals market. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a coin will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
