The 1944 Mercury Dime was produced at 3 US Mint facilities; Philadelphia which is shown here as 1944-P, Denver which is shown here as 1944-D and San Francisco which is shown here as 1944-S. To determine which coin you have it is necessary to locate the mint mark. This mark is a small letter and is located on the reverse side of the coin just to the right of the letter "E" in the word "ONE". The letter "D" is for Denver. The letter "S" is for San Francisco. If there is no letter the coin was minted in Philadelphia. The following prices are as of 8/12. They will change over time. The circulated and uncirculated values of these coins are shown in the following list:

Circulated Grades.......1944-P........1944-D..........1944-S

G4.................................$3.00................$3.00................$3.00

F12................................$3.00................$3.00.................3.00

VF30..............................$4.00................$4.00..................$4.00

EF40..............................$4.00................$4.00.................$4.00

AU50..............................$5.00...............$6.00..................$5.00

Uncirculated Grades

MS60..............................$7.................$7.................$10

MS65..............................$26.................$24.................$30

1944 is considered a common date for Mercury dimes -- there were over 200 million of them minted.

What is the value of a 1944 prince dime worth?

Assuming you're referring to a 1944 U.S. dime, the proper name for it is either Winged Liberty Head Dime or Mercury Dime. 1944 is a common date for Mercury dimes. In circulated condition, its value is based only on the silver it contains -- currently about 50 cents. Even nice uncirculated ones are generally only worth $4-$6 My guess is a Canadian dime with the portrait of King George. Still a common coin and worth even less than the US Mercury dime.
