... The only difference is the period. Where in America, we use the comma to separate thousands, millions, etc, they use the period.

I.E., 1,000,000 - 1 million in American notation

1.000.000 - 1 million in Spanish notation.

Spanish writers use a comma or an apostrophe where an English writer would use a decimal point. The apostrophe is used mainly when written by hand but I have seen it in print.

e.g. 1.75 (Eng) = 1,75 or 1'75

Spanish numeric keyboards still have a point rather than a comma though, which makes input awkward. It's also important to remember this if entering data on a Spanish website.
